Mission

In this age of climate change and mass extinction it is paramount that we do everything within our power to preserve what we have left of our natural world, it’s resources, and it’s animals. From the coral reefs to the glaciers, our planet is on the brink of losing it’s ability to recover from what is now known as the Anthropocene Era, the era of man-made destruction. The survival of what is left is dependent on our current actions as human beings. Nature Defense Foundation’s mission is to support non-profit organizations that are fighting to preserve and protect what remains.

What We Do

Through our grant making, the Nature Defense Foundation aims to help strengthen organizations that are making great strides towards heightening awareness and stewarding change towards sustainable life on Earth. We fund nonprofits large and small whose goals are in keeping with our three fundamental areas of impact: Environmental Protection, Animal Welfare and Sustainable Energy.
